Valerie Elkins has over 20 years experience in genealogy research and has worked as an International Research Consultant at the Family History Library, consulted and provided research for genealogy TV shows and serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of Professional Genealogists.
Valerie is a writer and lover of great stories. She uses her background and training to help others find the joy of knowing their own story and preserving it creative and meaningful ways.
Valerie is frequent speaker and has presented both nationally and internationally on a variety of subjects related to family history research, technology and finding family stories. She specializes in Japanese, Hawaiian and Asian research, West Coast and Southern United States research; finding family stories and leaving a legacy.

Have used Ancestry,com and been able to track most of my lines between 2-3 generations to as many as 12-15 generations. My brick wall was for my maternal grandfather George Heinze born in 1889 in MN.
