Lisa A. Alzo, MFA, is a freelance writer, instructor, and internationally recognized lecturer specializing in Eastern European genealogical research, and nonfiction writing. She is the author of ten books, including The Family Tree Polish, Czech and Slovak Genealogy Guide and the award-winning Three Slovak Women. Lisa is a contributing editor for Family Tree Magazine, and has written hundreds of articles for online and print publications. Lisa teaches online courses for Family Tree University and the National Institute for Genealogical Studies. She is a frequently invited speaker for genealogical and historical societies, and is a popular webinar presenter. An avid genealogist for over 26 years, Lisa chronicles her family history adventures on her blog, The Accidental Genealogist. Through her books, articles, presentations and webinars, Lisa has educated and inspired family history enthusiasts at all levels to break down their genealogy brick walls and share their ancestors’ stories.
